Tamara Mason

Tamara Mason is an experienced educator with a strong background in English instruction and curriculum development. Currently serving as a 6th and 8th English Instructor at Uplift Education since August 2017, Tamara utilizes data-driven, student-centered strategies to enhance critical thinking and literacy, integrating technology tools in blended learning experiences. As a 6th and 8th Grade Level Team Lead, Tamara focuses on improving student engagement and behavior through tailored initiatives. Additionally, Tamara has contributed as Department Content Lead, enhancing literacy skills curriculum-wide and providing professional development. Previously, as an Instructional Coach at City Teaching Alliance, Tamara mentored new teachers and collaborated on curriculum design, significantly boosting engagement and test scores. Tamara's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Emory University and a Master of Education from Johns Hopkins University School of Education.
