Zena Griffin

Zena Griffin has extensive experience in education, currently serving as Grade Level Chair and Content Teacher Lead for STEM (grades 2-5) at Uplift Education since July 2019, alongside roles as a 3rd Grade Teacher. In addition, Zena has contributed as a Summer Mentor for Urban Teachers since June 2018, guiding new resident teachers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Prior experience includes being a Teaching Fellow and Resident Teacher at KIPP Texas Public Schools from July 2018 to May 2019, and serving as Program Coordinator for YMCA of the Suncoast in summer 2016. Zena holds a Bachelor's degree from Howard University and a Master's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Johns Hopkins University, with an advanced graduate certificate in Science Instruction from Southern New Hampshire University.
