Aggeliki Tsoli

Computer Vision Research Engineer at Uplift Labs

Aggeliki Tsoli has over 8 years of work experience in the field of computer vision. Aggeliki started their career in 2014 as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Computer Vision at Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH). During this time, they developed computer vision algorithms for estimating and tracking human motion (body, hands), objects (rigid, deformable) and human-object interactions from RGB and RGB-D data. Aggeliki also developed a deep learning method to estimate the shape (depth) of a deformable surface from a single RGB image, and devised a method for tracking a deformable surface (3D mesh) across a sequence of RGB-D images (Kinect2). In 2022, they began working as a Computer Vision Research Engineer at Uplift Labs.

Aggeliki Tsoli began their educational journey in 2000 when they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Communications Engineering from the University of Thessaly. Aggeliki then continued their studies at Brown University, where they earned a Master of Science in Computer Science in 2008 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science in 2014. In addition, Aggeliki Tsoli also received a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Vision from the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in 2014.
