Brian Porter

Brian Porter is a Research Analyst at the University of Pittsburgh since October 2022, specializing in the identification of AI-generated text through data collection and analysis using advanced statistical methods. Simultaneously, Brian serves as a Course Development Partner at Uplimit, focusing on designing online courses and creating materials for learners. Previously, Brian has held roles as a Teaching Assistant for various courses, a Writing Across the Curriculum Fellow at CUNY New York City College of Technology, and an Adjunct Lecturer at Baruch College, where Brian developed and taught philosophy courses. Brian’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Philosophy from The Graduate Center, CUNY, an M.A. in Philosophy from Brandeis University, and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Virginia.
