Gerardo Galimberti

Gerardo Galimberti is an experienced professional in the fields of occupational health, safety, and security, currently serving as the OHS & Security Director at UPM Uruguay since July 2023. With a career spanning over two decades, Gerardo has held various roles at UPM - The Biofore Company from 2010 to 2023, including Safety & Security Project Director and Safety Director. Prior experience includes positions as Safety & Security Manager at Botnia S.A. and Tile Forestal / Forestal Oriental, and as a TCM Evaluator for national and international quality awards. Gerardo's educational background includes a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de la República and a Master in Business Administration from EAE Business School, alongside specialized training in fire protection, environmental science, and management systems.
