Anna Pessa

Anna Pessa is a seasoned professional in chemical management and product stewardship with a strong background in engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist in the global UPM Responsibility Product Stewardship team since March 2022, Anna oversees chemical management across UPM's business areas and functions, supporting compliance with REACH Regulation and acting as the main key user for the UPM Chemical Management System. Previously, Anna worked as a Production Engineer at UPM Communication Papers, focusing on product and process development and sustainable initiatives aligned with UPM's 2030 environmental targets. A Bioforce Graduate Trainee and Master's Thesis Worker at UPM, Anna contributed to projects addressing environmentally hazardous substances in wastewater. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field from LUT University.
