Jaakko Kortesmäki

Jaakko Kortesmäki has over 26 years of work experience, with their most recent role being Project Director at UPM - The Biofore Company since April 2021. Jaakko previously held various positions at UPM, including Director of Production Automation Cybersecurity Project, Director of GDPR project, Director of Sourcing Strategy Project, Director of Service Platform, Director of Collaboration and Productivity Applications, Director of Custom Applications, Manager of Application Integration, and Senior Architect. Prior to UPM, they worked as an Implementation Team Manager at Liaison Technologies from June 2007 to August 2009. Jaakko also worked as an Implementations Manager and Technical Specialist at Anilinker Oy, and as a New Media Designer at Mainoskenttä Oy. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Engineer and e-Business Specialist in various roles.

Jaakko Kortesmäki earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Information Technology from Tampere University of Applied Sciences between 2001 and 2005. Jaakko also obtained additional certifications in senior management and ICT management from Henley Business School and Sofigate respectively, in 2013 and 2012.
