Ben Sprague

Ben Sprague is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in academia and healthcare. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine since July 2020, Ben also holds multiple positions at UPMC, including Academic Hospitalist, Physician Lead for Quality Initiatives, and Chief Resident of Quality and Safety. Since May 2021, Ben has contributed as a Medical Consultant for UPMC Health Plan. Previous roles include a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where research focused on non-invasive imaging techniques for heart attack evaluation. Ben’s background includes research and engineering positions at the University of Wisconsin and GE Healthcare, along with educational credentials comprising an MD in Medicine, an MS in Biomedical Engineering, and a BS in Biomedical Engineering.
