MaCalus V. Hogan

MaCalus V. Hogan, MD, MBA, serves as the David Silver Professor and Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and is the Chief of the Orthopaedic Service Line at UPMC. Following an extensive background in orthopaedic education and leadership, they held roles including Senior Medical Director for Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Services at UPMC Health Plan and Vice Chair of Education in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. MaCalus completed an Executive MBA at the University of Pittsburgh in 2018 and has contributed significantly to programs recognizing high-quality surgical outcomes and integrated care delivery strategies. Currently, they continue to drive innovation and quality in orthopaedic care while maintaining a faculty position at the Katz Graduate School of Business.
