Matt Russell

Matt Russell has a diverse work experience in the digital media industry. Matt is currently the Co-Founder & Managing Director at Uppbeat, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the same role at Music Vine starting from September 2014.

Before their founding roles, Matt worked at Revolution Viewing, starting as a Multimedia Technician in February 2012 and later transitioning into the role of Technical Co-ordinator in October 2012. In this role, they demonstrated proficiency in image manipulation, HTML and CSS coding, and project planning. Matt was praised for proposing and implementing new procedures to increase efficiency and reduce production time. In February 2014, they were promoted to Production Manager, where they served as a figurehead for the team, ensuring client quality assurance and managing workflow resources. Matt maintained a strong working knowledge of digital offerings and products and utilized advanced image manipulation techniques.

Matt Russell attended York College from 2005 to 2007, where they pursued A Levels in Business Studies, Photography, Media Studies, and Modern History. After completing their A Levels, they enrolled at Leeds Beckett University from 2007 to 2010. During this time, they obtained a Ba(hons) degree in Photography and Digital Imaging.
