John Council

John Council is the current Assistant Superintendent for Personnel and Equity at the Upper Darby School District. John has been in this position since July of 2005. Prior to that, they were a physical education teacher at Radnor Township School District from August of 2002 to July of 2005. There, they were in charge of field day and also taught Human Growth & Development. From February of 2002 to June of that same year, John Council was a physical education teacher at Council Rock School District. There, they were responsible for the district wide track meet as well as field day.

John Council has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Widener University, a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and an Associate’s Degree in Machine Tool Technology/Machinist from Williamson College of the Trades.

John Council reports to Daniel P. McGarry, Superintendent. They are on a team with Craig Rogers - CFO, Wendy Elgart - Director of Food Service, and Mark Manley - Director of Public Safety.
