Evelyn Giannopoulos

Evelyn Giannopoulos currently serves as the Associate Director of Education at the Upper Grand District School Board, overseeing educational services for over 35,000 students across various schools. Since December 2023, Evelyn has been a Board Member of the Education Collaborative Network of Ontario, contributing to the improvement of Ontario's educational system. Additionally, as a Board Member and co-chair of the Professional Learning Committee for the Ontario Public Supervisory Officers’ Association since June 2023, Evelyn supports ethical leadership and equity in public education. Previously, Evelyn held various positions including Superintendent of Student Achievement and Well-Being at the Waterloo Region District School Board from 2006 to April 2024, where leadership in instruction and programming was emphasized. Evelyn began a teaching career at the Halton District School Board and possesses degrees from Queen's University, Trent University, and Charles Sturt University, including a Master of Education in International Leadership.
