Sam Valenza is an experienced executive with a lengthy tenure at Bux-Mont Transportation, Inc. as President & Chief Executive Officer since January 1971. In addition, Sam serves as President of the Board of Commissioners for Upper Moreland Township and has held this position since January 2008. As the President of the Board of the Suburban Transit Network (Transnet) since July 2007, Sam has been an active Board Member since 1985. Furthermore, Sam has contributed to Rotary District 7430 since 1986 in various capacities. Sam holds an MBA in Administrative Management from Saint Joseph's University (1988-1993) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University (1974-1978), along with a high school diploma from Archbishop Wood Catholic High School and Upper Moreland High School.

Upper Moreland Township occupies an area of 7.5 square miles in the northeastern corner of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The 2000 census reported a total population of 24,993. Upper Moreland is part of the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area and is approximately 15 miles north of downtown Philadelphia. The Township is bordered by the Montgomery County communities of Hatboro, Upper Dublin, Abington, Bryn Athyn, and Lower Moreland while Bucks County lies to the north.
