Kay Ryan

Kay Ryan has over 20 years of work experience in the human resources and safety fields. Kay began their career in 1992 as a Youth Coordinator, Intake Coordinator, and Accounting Secretary/Specialist for Michigan Works West Central. In 2000, they joined Leprino Foods as a Human Resources Manager and Safety Coordinator. From 2005 to 2012, they were the Assistant Director of Staff Resources at Central Michigan University. In 2012, they became the Regional Human Resources Manager for Potlatch Corporation and then in 2014, they were promoted to Vice President of Human Resources for the Upper Peninsula Power Company. In this role, they were a member of the executive leadership team and was responsible for building the human resources, safety, and payroll functions while managing retiree pension and benefits for over 600 retirees.

Kay Ryan received their High School Diploma from Chippewa Hills High School in 1992 after completing the College Prep program from 1988-1992. Kay then went on to receive their Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Ferris State University from 1992-2000. Finally, Kay Ryan obtained their MSA in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University from 2007-2012.
