Matthew Annala

Matthew Annala has over six years of professional experience in environmental engineering. Matthew began their career in 2014 as an Intern at the Ishpeming Area Wastewater Treatment Plant, where they conducted daily tests and inspections on various equipment. In 2015 and 2016, they worked as an Environmental Engineer Intern at Freeport-McMoRan, where they developed and implemented a remote bathymetric survey program and a sampling plan for a demolition project. In 2017, they worked as an Environmental Engineer at GHD. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Environmental Program Administrator - Engineer at Upper Peninsula Power Company.

Matthew Annala received their degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from Michigan Technological University between 2012 and 2016. Matthew has also obtained several certifications, including Water Distribution System Operator Grade II from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality ADEQ in 2021, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor from SAI Global in 2019, 40-Hour HazWOpEr certification from Compliance Solutions Occupational Trainers Inc. in 2017, RCRA from Freeport-McMoRan in 2017, DOT Hazardous Materials from GHD in 2017, and EPA Method 9 Visible Emissions from ARIZONA SMOKE SCHOOL L.L.C. in 2020.
