Nolan Miles began their career in 2012 as a Field Service CoOp at Kohler Co. Nolan then moved on to Keweenaw Research Center in 2013, where they worked as a Student Researcher. In 2014, Nolan joined NALCO Water, An Ecolab Company, where they were hired in an Accelerated Sales Engineer training course and later promoted to District Engineer. In 2016, Nolan began working at Somero Enterprises as a Mechanical Engineer and Field Technical Support. In 2018, they joined Michigan Technological University as an Energy Engineer. Most recently, in 2020, Nolan began working at Upper Peninsula Power Company as a Generation Supervisor, where their goal is to provide safe, economic and reliable electric generation to the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Nolan Miles graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering with Technology. In October 2019, they obtained a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers. In March 2014, they obtained a Certified Manufacturing Technologist from SME.
