Steve Baril

Steve Baril has worked in the safety field since 2001. Steve began their career at URS Corporation as a Safety Officer. In 2001, they moved to Earth Tech - now dba - AECOM, where they worked as a Safety Manager. The same year, they joined EE&G Environmental Engineering, Consulting, Construction and Disaster-Response as a Safety Specialist. In 2006, they were hired as a Sr. Safety Professional at Cliffs Natural Resources. Since 2015, they have been employed as a Safety Manager at Upper Peninsula Power Company.

Steve Baril received a Master of Engineering - MEng in Safety from the University of Alabama at Birmingham between 2017 and 2020. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management from Lake Superior State University between 1995 and 2000. Steve also received an Associate of Science - AS in Fire Science and an Associate of Science - AS in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement from Lake Superior State University between 1995 and 1998.
