Laura Gillespie currently serves as the Director of Development and Communications at Upper Valley Haven since September 2016. Prior to this role, Laura held the position of Director of Communications and Marketing at The Aloha Foundation from 2006 to September 2016, where responsibilities included overseeing all foundation publications. Laura also has experience as a Board Member at Sanibel Sea School from 2010 to 2013 and as the Director of Programming for Upper Valley Rowing Foundation in 2005-2006. Earlier roles include Circulation Supervisor at Dartmouth College's Sherman Art Library from 1999 to 2003 and Operations Manager at Raymond & Whitcomb, Inc. from 1989 to 1999, where Laura managed academic travel for prestigious organizations. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Mission Driven Organizations from Marlboro College and a Bachelor’s degree in Art History and Foreign Languages from Dartmouth College.

Upper Valley Haven
With the support of the Upper Valley community, the Haven assists those who are experiencing poverty to be free from hunger, to be securely housed, and to pursue a self-directed life. Founded in 1980, the Haven provides food, temporary shelter, supportive housing, children’s after school and summer programs, community outreach, and problem solving support to those in need. The Haven is open 365 days per year and never charges for any of its services. We now serve over 14,500 people per year.
