George Dumitrescu

George Dumitrescu has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and leadership roles. George is currently working as a Senior Developer at Square1 since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Full Stack Developer at UPPER starting in July 2021. George also served as the Chief Executive Officer at Wibiway from November 2021.

Before their role at Wibiway, George co-founded the company in May 2018 and worked as a Managing Partner. Wibiway is a Profitability Booster Tool designed for small and medium-sized growing companies. At Wibiway, George utilized smart algorithms and automations to increase business profitability.

George has also worked at Orange Services as a Senior Java Developer from April 2018 to July 2021. Here, they were involved in projects related to enterprise search solutions and development of exchange and sharing portals around innovation and new technologies.

Prior to that, they had the role of CTO at Majoritas from January 2017 to February 2018. George was responsible for projects such as the Presence Room (an in-house-developed CMS) and M4.0 (a next-generation ecosystem).

Before joining Majoritas, George worked as a Lead Software Architect at Trencadis from June 2015 to October 2016. George was involved in projects related to core banking applications and mobile apps for the banking industry.

Earlier in their career, they worked at Blend Systems, Inc. as a Software Architect and Lead Full-Stack Engineer from October 2013 to June 2015. Here, they were responsible for developing a mobile app similar to Instagram and Facebook.

George also served as the Head of PHP Development at Catalyst Worldwide from November 2012 to June 2014. George was involved in projects related to ERP systems, marketing campaign management, and mobile app development.

George began their career as a Senior Web Developer at Geometry Global from February 2011 to November 2012.

George Dumitrescu attended Academia de Studii Economice din București from 2003 to 2008. George obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering during this time.
