John Geehreng

John Geehreng has extensive work experience in the visual effects industry. John began their career as a Freelance Flame Artist in 2013, working for companies such as GeehrengFX, Chapeau FX, Artjail, Ntropic, and MassMarket. In 2014, they took on a Senior Flame Artist and VFX Supervisor role at Click 3X. John then joined Uppercut as the Head of Visual Effects in 2017. John also worked as a VFX Supervisor at FuseFX during the same year. In addition to their practical experience, John also taught Flame 2014 in Production for fxphd.com, showcasing their expertise in Nuke, Maya, PFTrack, and Mocha, and how they integrate with the Flame workflow.

John Geehreng attended Wesleyan University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in American Studies and a minor in Film Studies.
