Richard Hannigan

Richard Hannigan serves as the Director of Wellbeing and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead at Uppingham School since September 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Head of PSHE/Careers Leader and Modern Foreign Language Teacher at The West Bridgford School from September 2015 to September 2022, and as a Secondary School Teacher (Trainee) at The Minster School from September 2014 to July 2015. Richard has also contributed to the British Council as an English Language Assistant in multiple roles from October 2013 to May 2014 and from October 2011 to April 2012. Early work experience includes bartending positions at Baa Bar Ltd and All Bar One, as well as serving as an Administrative Assistant at Nottingham City Homes. Richard holds a Postgraduate Degree (PGCE Secondary MFL) and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Hispanic Studies from the University of Nottingham. Educational background includes attending Nottingham High School.
