Chris Lerohl

CEO and Co-Founder at Uproot Food Collective

Chris Lerohl has had a long and varied career in business, beginning with the role of Big Brother at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada in 2009. In 2011, they joined the Alberta Clean Technology Industry Alliance as a Board of Directors and Chair of Marketing and Communications. Chris also joined the Advisory Council of the UofA Energy Club in 2011. In 2012, they became the Business Development Manager Natural Sciences/UA Solve at TEC Edmonton, and in 2013 they became the Manager of UA Solve. In 2014, they were a Sessional Instructor at the University of Alberta, and also became Co-Founder and CEO of Honest Dumplings Ltd. In 2016, they became a Management Consultant at Campus Innovation Consulting Group, and in 2020 they became the CEO and Co-Founder of Uproot Food Collective. Throughout their career, Chris has been responsible for formulating and executing organizational strategies, conducting market research and testing, increasing productivity, developing new modes of sales and sales channels, providing business and product development support, assessing company needs, and helping companies access capabilities at the University of Alberta.

Chris Lerohl attended the University of Alberta from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained a BSc in Electrical Engineering in 2009 and a combined MBA/MEng in 2011.
