Lijun (Ray) Ma, LL.M., LL.B. has extensive work experience in both legal and business roles. Lijun (Ray) started their career in 2007 as a Legal Researcher at the University of Alberta, where they assisted Professor Bauman in drafting of the latest version of their legal text, and performed research to ensure the validity, accuracy and up to date nature of the relevant legal subject matter. In 2010, they moved to Wachowich & Company as a Legal Assistant. In 2014, they co-founded Honest Dumplings Ltd., where they are in charge of all of Honest Dumplings operations. In 2019, they co-founded Uproot Food Collective, where they serve as the Chief Marketing Officer.

Lijun (Ray) Ma, LL.M., LL.B. has a comprehensive educational background. In 2003, they completed their Bachelor of Laws from East China University of Political Science and Law, majoring in Law. Afterwards, they attended the University of Alberta, where they obtained a Masters of Laws in Corporate/Commercial in 2009. In 2016 and 2017, they completed two Executive Education courses at the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, in the Management Essentials Program and the Governance Program for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, respectively. Additionally, they obtained a RYS 200 Hour Certified Yoga Teacher certification from the Yoga Alliance in April 2010.
