Doug Jackels

Doug Jackels is an experienced packaging engineer with a focus on the medical device industry. Currently serving as a Packaging Design Engineer at Medtronic since February 2020, Doug is responsible for Design Verification Testing for implantable sterile barrier packaging systems. Previously, Doug held the position of Sr. Packaging Engineer at Upsher-Smith Laboratories, LLC, while also completing a contract as a Packaging Engineer through Engineering Professional Staffing. Doug's earlier experience includes over 12 years as Packaging Manager at CIMA Labs, an R&D division of Teva Pharmaceuticals, and a role as Packaging Technologist at General Mills/Pillsbury. Doug holds a Master of Science in Packaging from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from St. Cloud State University.
