Daniel Garrett

Daniel Garrett has worked in the software development and data science fields since 2006. In 2013, they worked as a Project Associate at InTouch Ltd, where they were involved in designing and creating a website using the Drupal CMS and adding a GPS recording feature to the Kankuu Safari Android application. In 2014, they worked as a Junior Software Developer at Tripod Software and an Analyst Developer at Lancaster University. In 2015, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at KrakenFlex (formerly Upside Energy), where they were involved in the development, implementation and deployment of microservices using Java, Spring and Hibernate to Kubernetes, and Python and Node to AWS through CodePipeline using cloudformation. Daniel also had a four-month internal secondment to the Data Science team, where they worked on the data engineering side. Additionally, they worked as a Customer Assistant at Tesco PLC from 2006-2013, where they took count of stock in the fresh food department, corrected incorrect stock records using a computerized stocking system, and kept the fresh food department's food in order with date and out of stock checking.

Daniel Garrett attended Lancaster University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained an Msci in Computer Science with Industrial Experience.
