James Clegg has held various positions in the software engineering field since 2016. In 2016, they worked as a Sales Assistant at The Lewis Partnership, where they assisted customers with making reservations and bookings and managed social media and TripAdvisor accounts. In 2017, they gained Work Experience shadowing an Operations Director at Morrisons. In 2019, they completed a course in full-stack software development at Northcoders, and worked as a Junior Software Engineer and Software Development Engineer in Test at Apadmi Ltd. In 2021, they joined Mission Labs as a Software Engineer, where they worked fullstack on the core functionality of the flagship SmartAgent product alongside plugins, using React, Redux, Typescript, Node.js, CSS, and Jest. Currently, they are employed at KrakenFlex (Octopus Energy Group) as a Software Engineer.
James Clegg obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Keele University between 2016 and 2019. Prior to that, they attended Denstone College between 2013 and 2015 and completed A levels. James also has an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they obtained in August 2022.
