Joël Jaton

Joël Jaton has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Joël is currently working as the Lead Product Manager at KrakenFlex, a subsidiary of Octopus Energy Group, since November 2022. Prior to this, Joël co-founded depsys in 2012 and held multiple positions, including Chief Product Officer and Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder. Joël has been with depsys till the present. Earlier in their career, Joël worked as an R&D Project Engineer at HEIG-VD, where they were involved in various industrial and research activities related to fuel cell optimization, grid flexibility, and micro grid control. Joël also served as a Teaching Assistant at HEIG-VD during their time there.

Joël Jaton obtained a Master of Science degree in Industrial Technology from HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale between 2010 and 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electricity and Power Electronics from HEIG-VD from 2006 to 2009. In 2005 to 2006, Jaton attended Eracom, where they obtained a Technical professional baccalaureate. Additionally, they completed an apprenticeship of Electronic at Centre professionnel du Nord vaudois from 2002 to 2005. In terms of additional certifications, Jaton obtained a Flight Crew Licence PPL(A) from the Federal Office of Civil Aviation Switzerland in August 2018.
