Sam Burnstone

Sam Burnstone has worked in the software engineering industry since 2014. Sam began their career at Scott Logic as a Developer and was later promoted to Senior Developer. In this role, they were part of the senior team working on an iOS app written in Swift 5 for a well-known challenger bank. Sam was largely responsible for writing the networking layer, reviewing pull requests and helping to train up less experienced members of the team. Sam also contributed to unit and UI tests and was broadly responsible for building testing utilities that helped speed up their execution time. In 2022, Sam joined KrakenFlex (Octopus Energy Group) as a Frontend Engineer and was later promoted to Senior Frontend Engineer.

Sam Burnstone attended Newcastle University from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
