Omar Venado

Omar Venado is a highly experienced technology professional with significant expertise in machine learning and software engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for the Machine Learning Platform and Pricing at Upstart since April 2023, Omar previously worked as Principal Applied ML Engineering Manager at Microsoft, where responsibilities included leading the development and deployment of advanced ML models for video content moderation. Prior experience at Amazon as a Software Development Manager involved steering AI/ML projects across various domains and creating ML pipeline orchestration infrastructure. Omar also held roles at Microsoft as a Senior Program Manager, contributing to the launch of key product features, and had earlier experience at Adelantus Inc, Telefónica, and Nestlé. Omar holds a degree in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
