Indranil Chandra

Indranil Chandra has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Indranil is currently working as a Principal ML & Data Engineer at Upstox, where they have successfully built an internet-scale Lake House from scratch and established a world-class Data Engineering & MLOps practice. Prior to this, they served as the VP - Engineering at easiloan.com, where they led the technology and product team in releasing the beta version of the online Home Loan application web app. Before that, they worked as a Senior Manager in the Business Intelligence Unit at Piramal Enterprises Limited.

Indranil also has experience in the financial sector, having worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Aditya Birla Finance Limited. In this role, they focused on developing digital lending solutions using ML/DL techniques and cloud offerings. Additionally, they have worked at Citi as an Assistant Manager, where they contributed as a software developer in the Capital Markets team and also served as an expert in applied ML and DL.

In terms of their work in innovation, Indranil has been involved in significant projects. Indranil served as an Intel Software Innovator, primarily focusing on optimizing and running ML/DL models on the edge and leveraging Intel's technology portfolio for building solutions. Indranil also played a key role in the M19 Initiative, a collaborative project that addressed the manufacturing and distribution challenges of PPEs during the COVID-19 crisis in India.

Earlier in their career, Indranil worked on innovative projects such as the development of a Pediatric Perimeter device at LV Prasad Eye Institute Hyderabad and the creation of a Cooking Aid Probe and Android Application at Godrej Consumer Products Limited. Indranil also had an entrepreneurial experience as the innovator and founder of "Dhvani - Sharing a Voice," a social enterprise recognized in the Tata Social Enterprise Challenge (TSEC).
