Danna Freedman-Shara,

Danna Freedman-Shara is the VP of Technical Assistance & Program Design for Upstream USA. She is a charismatic, driven leader with a Masters in Business Administration (Bryant University) and Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology (Brown University). Ensuring access to contraception and family planning has been Danna’s personal and professional mission since adolescence when she was inspired by her mother’s nursing work in the reproductive health field. Danna’s previous work as a leader for Planned Parenthood provides a strong foundation in family planning services, coaching staff, and improving the patient experience. Danna takes pride in her ability to build teams, maintain clear and responsive communication, and personally connect with stakeholders at every level of an organization. She is excited to bring these skills and best practices to healthcare providers throughout Rhode Island.
