Jay Kimmel

Jay Kimmel is a highly experienced medical professional with a career spanning several decades in orthopedics and health management. Having served as Chief Executive Officer and President at Upswing Health since September 2017, Kimmel also holds the position of Orthopaedic Surgeon at Advanced Orthopedics New England since July 2002. Additionally, Kimmel has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at both the Department of Orthopedics and the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine since January 2000 and July 1995, respectively. From December 2014 to January 2023, Kimmel co-directed the Connecticut Sports Medicine Institute. Kimmel's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Cornell University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, supplemented by various advanced studies at Columbia University and Temple University.
