Matthew Garvey

Matthew Garvey is a skilled Senior Data Scientist at Uptake since August 2017, focusing on the development of machine learning models to provide predictive insights within the heavy equipment and locomotive industries. Matthew also serves as a Teaching Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology, instructing undergraduate and graduate courses in applied and computational mathematics. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Brain Health Alliance, where Matthew helped create ScanVR, a tool for visualizing brain scans in 3D, and a researcher position at Princeton Autonomous Vehicle Engineering, working on simulations based on US Census data. Additionally, during summer 2014, Matthew gained experience as a Trading Analyst at Citigroup, developing software tools for enhanced trading strategies. Matthew holds a Master of Engineering in Computational Science and Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University.
