Darah Denise Barnes has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Darah Denise recently worked as an Assistant Content Strategy & Acquisition at UPtv starting in April 2023. Prior to that, in 2021, Darah founded MIP Ministries, a platform focused on sharing faith and positively depicting followers of Christ. Darah Denise was also a member of The Black TV & Film Collective from August 2017 to July 2022. In 2022, they worked as a Creative Intern at The Factory Church as part of their M.Div program. Before that, they gained experience as an Agency Operations Specialist at EGR International Inc. from May 2019 to March 2021. Darah also worked as an Assistant to Producers at Keep Your Head Productions in 2018. Darah Denise started their career as a Client Service Associate at BEAST EDITORIAL in 2016. Additionally, they were a member of Women in Film & Television - Florida (WIFT-FL) from 2016 to 2017. In the same year, they worked as a Client Producer at 48 Creative and as an Administrative Assistant at USMLEagle Prep.

Darah Denise Barnes began their education journey at William R Boone High School, where they attended from 2007 to 2011. After graduating from high school, they enrolled at Cornell University, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Performing and Media Arts. Their studies at Cornell spanned from 2011 to 2015, during which they completed their undergraduate degree.

While pursuing their Bachelor's degree, Darah Denise Barnes also attended Valencia College for a brief period in 2010-2011, focusing on the subject of Algebra.

In 2019, Barnes decided to further their education and enrolled at Regent University. Darah Denise is currently working towards obtaining a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree, specializing in Worship & Media. Their expected completion date for their graduate studies at Regent University is 2022.
