John Perkins

John Perkins is responsible for leading Upward Farms’ finance efforts including overall financial management strategy, capital raising, financial reporting, accounting, treasury, tax, investor relations, corporate strategy, and business analytics.

Prior to joining Upward Farms, John was Co-Head of US Real Estate Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets, based in New York. John has worked extensively in the US, Canada and Europe on large public and private capital raising activities, as well as both sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions. Prior to his work at RBC, John was a Managing Director at JPMorgan, BofA and CBRE Capital Advisors.

John received his BS in Architecture from the Pennsylvania State University, M Arch from the Yale School of Architecture, and MS in Real Estate Finance from MIT. John expresses his passions for environment and biodiversity through his service on the board of the Great Mountain Forest Corporation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) operator of sustainable and biodiverse forest management in the 6,000 acre Great Mountain Forest located in Northwest Connecticut.
