Nick Flores has worked in a variety of roles since 2004. Nick began as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Husqvarna, where they designed mechanisms and components of electric, gas, and hydraulic systems, created and developed new ideas for future products, and supported future designs with theoretical analysis and calculations. In 2007, they became a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Crane Aerospace, where they were responsible for electro-mechanical design of linear and rotary actuation systems, mechanical design changes aimed towards cost savings and producibility, and sustaining and failure analysis of legacy products. In 2010, they became a Mechanical Engineer III at FMC Technologies, where they performed stress analysis of high-speed permanent magnet motors, rotordynamic analysis, and mechanical design of electric motors. In 2016, they joined Faraday Future as a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Motor Design. In 2018, they moved to TechnipFMC as a Rotating Equipment Specialist. Most recently, they began working as a Principal Mechanical Engineer at Upwing Energy in 2022.
Nick Flores obtained a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University between 2001 and 2004. Nick then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach between 2009 and 2012.
