Yashar Behzadi is an accomplished professional in the field of AI and technology with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as VP, Partnerships and AI GTM at Upwork since October 2025, Yashar is responsible for developing partnerships strategies and advancing agentic AI initiatives. As a DeepTech Venture Scout at Alumni Ventures since October 2023, Yashar focuses on identifying venture opportunities in Deep Tech. Previously, Yashar founded and served as CEO of Synthesis AI, where significant contributions to synthetic data and generative AI were made, raising $24M from top-tier investors. In addition, Yashar held the position of CEO at Neuromation, driving AI product development and securing over $50M in financing, and served as Chief Product Officer at Medibio Limited, where corporate and technology strategies were shaped and substantial funding was raised. Yashar holds a PhD in Bioengineering with a focus on Computer Vision, AI, and Machine Learning, as well as a Master’s degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego.
