Gym And Programs Coordinator at UQ Sport

Mitch Thomas currently serves as the Gym and Programs Coordinator at UQ Sport, a position held since June 2022. In addition, Mitch has been a Strength and Conditioning Coach at The Strength Theory since February 2019, focusing on developing and implementing strength and conditioning protocols for athletes and general clientele. Previous roles include Exercise Scientist at Changez from September 2020 to June 2022, Gym Manager at Evolve 24/7 Fitness, and Head of Exercise at Om Wellness Centre. Mitch also worked as an Exercise Scientist at Inspire Health Services and served as Injury/Rehab Coordinator at Oxley United FC. Earlier experience includes part-time work as a cook at Hog's Breath Cafe Australia Pty Ltd and an internship with Brisbane ROAR FC. Mitch began coaching at Mooroondu FC for youth teams from 2012 to 2015. Mitch holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Science from The University of Queensland, earned between 2013 and 2017, and a QCE from Anglican Church Grammar School.
