Meredith Summs is an experienced leader in instructional design and youth engagement, currently serving as the Director of the School of Interactive Arts at Urban Arts since August 2022. Previously, Meredith held the position of Senior Director of Student Learning Design at Mouse from January 2005 to August 2022, where significant contributions included overseeing national youth engagement programs, particularly the "Mouse Create" platform and the "Design League" program. Additionally, Meredith played a key role on the steering committee for the Emoti-Con NYC Youth Digital Media & Technology Challenge, successfully transitioning the event to a virtual format in response to COVID-19. Prior experiences include various roles at Mouse, guest lecturing at Pratt Institute, and significant involvement with the Center for Anti-violence Education. Educational background includes a BA in Learning Design and Diversity from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and studies at both Cornell University and Vassar College.
