John Merrell

John Merrell has extensive work experience in the technology industry. John is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at mrktmade since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the same position at Omatix Inc. starting from May 2018. Alongside their executive positions, John also owns Mardala Media since April 2012.

John's professional journey began at Freelance Web Development in 2005, where they worked as a Web Developer until 2009. John then joined Matrix Consultants as a Lead Developer in May 2006 and remained with the company until October 2010. During their time at Matrix Consultants, John handled marketing and web development for various Suzuki operations in the US and Japan.

From 2010 to 2012, John worked at engage:BDR as a Software Engineer before transitioning to LFP Internet Group as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2012 to October 2013. At LFP Internet Group, they implemented SAML integration and set up a search engine and Angular JS application.

John's career also includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at LottoGopher.com from October 2013 to April 2014, where they developed an e-commerce application. Additionally, they served as the Consulting Chief Technology Officer at NKP Medical Marketing, Inc. from June 2018 to January 2019. Prior to this consulting role, John held the position of Chief Technology Officer at NKP Medical Marketing, Inc. from August 2014 to May 2018, where they managed teams, resolved technical issues, and built scalable solutions.

Lastly, John co-founded Urban Asian Inc. in 2011, an organization that has platforms for the modern desi and represents artists and producers in the music industry. Throughout their various roles and ventures, John has acquired a diverse skill set in technology and leadership.

John Merrell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from The Evergreen State College, completing their education from 1998 to 2001.
