Rishad Choon

Rishad Choon has a diverse range of work experience in the construction industry. Rishad started their career in 2012 as a Helper/Skilled Laborer at FenceTek, where they gained experience in framing, taping, painting, and sheet rocking. After that, they worked at Tindel Window Replacement as a Window Mechanic/Skilled Laborer, providing window replacement services for high-rise buildings.

In 2015, Rishad joined Windtek Inc as an Assistant Project Manager, overseeing a $7M project and coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with architectural specifications. Rishad also managed project schedules, material deliveries, and garbage disposal.

Rishad went on to work at RRS Construction, LLC as a Partner/Project Manager, where they managed the installation of doors and windows at a residential building. Rishad provided project oversight, directed multiple crews, and ensured adherence to architectural drawings and energy code regulations.

At Tower Real Estate Investments, Rishad served as a Project Manager, leading workforce teams and directing multiple projects simultaneously. Rishad conducted site visits, communicated project variations to subcontractors, and negotiated subcontractor agreements.

In their role as Assistant Project Manager at The Hakimian Organization, Rishad oversaw the construction of new residential and commercial properties. Rishad collaborated with project management teams, tracked project statuses, and delivered comprehensive feedback on project objectives, priorities, and timelines.

In 2019, Rishad joined Foundations Group as a Project Manager, responsible for coordinating all interior trades and subcontracts for a high-rise building in Hell's Kitchen. Rishad managed all phases of interior construction, including the bidding process and contract management, while meticulously tracking and recording project documentation.

Currently, Rishad is working at Urban Atelier Group as a Project Manager, managing and coordinating the renovation of interior spaces. Rishad'sresponsibilities include overseeing the addition of a new roof overbuild structure and the installation of New York City's largest green roof.

Rishad Choon obtained an Associate's degree in Applied Science in Computer Network Technology from Borough of Manhattan Community College in 2015. Rishad then pursued further education and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from CUNY York College in 2018.

In addition to their academic achievements, Rishad Choon has obtained several certifications. Rishad holds an FDNY Fireguard License from the FDNY, as well as OSHA certifications in 10-hour Construction Safety & Health and 30-hour Construction Safety & Health, both obtained in 2018.
