Jay Etzel

Jay Etzel, PE, has more than 20 years of experience and specializes in the layout, design, and operation of traffic signal equipment. He has designed closed-loop signal systems using various communications methods; performed and supervised traffic data collection; conducted accident and capacity analyses; and provided signal design layout for both public and private clients. Jay is a skilled user of simulation and design software. He is also experienced in with the design, evaluation, and operation of ITS elements, including highway advisory radio, closed-circuit television systems, over-height detection systems, and variable message signs. A graduate of Drexel University, Jay is a licensed Professional Engineer in four states.
