Corporate Controller - North America at Urban Expositions

Kristin Major has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kristin began their career as a Cost Accountant at Zebco Corporation in 1989 and later worked as an Audit Associate at Coopers & Lybrand in 1994. In the same year, they joined TV Guide as an Accounting Manager, where they stayed until 2003.

In 2003, Major joined PennWell as an Assistant Controller, overseeing the company's domestic and international accounting operations. Kristin played a crucial role in acquisitions and divestitures, traveling globally to perform due diligence. Major transitioned to the role of Corporate Controller in 2015, managing all accounting functions and serving as a key financial participant in the sale of PennWell to Clarion Events Inc. in 2018.

Following the acquisition, Major retained their position as Corporate Controller at Clarion Events Inc. - North America. Kristin continues to manage the accounting operations for North America, including various financial functions like treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, tax, and audit. Major also serves as a finance representative on steering committees, a member of the 401(k) committee, and leads finance on system implementations.

Throughout their career, Major has demonstrated expertise in financial operations, acquisition integration, and ensuring smooth transitions.

Kristin Major obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from The University of Tulsa, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Kristin later pursued further professional development by obtaining certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Oklahoma Society of CPAs in August 1998.
