Colleen Burns

Manager, Education at Urban Green Council

Colleen Burns is an experienced communications and education professional with a strong background in environmental advocacy. Currently serving as the Associate Manager of Education at Urban Green Council, Colleen has held various educational roles within the organization since September 2021. As a 2024 Fellow at the Clean Energy Leadership Institute, Colleen continues to enhance leadership skills in clean energy initiatives. Previous experience includes coordinating educational programming, fundraising campaigns, and community outreach efforts for Green Amendments For The Generations and internships focused on communication and environmental issues at organizations such as the New York League of Conservation Voters, American Red Cross Greater New York, Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, and The GREEN Program. Colleen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Culture from Fordham University and is pursuing a Certificate in Journalism and Communications from Sciences Po.
