Food Access Director at Urban Harvest

Phylicia Coleman has a diverse work experience that spans across various organizations and roles. In 2010, they began their career as a Transportation Research Intern at Houston Tomorrow. In 2011, they worked as a Commercial Corridor Intern at Tacony Community Development Corporation. In 2016, Phylicia held the position of Volunteer Planner at Community Design Collaborative, and simultaneously worked as a Graduate Residence Associate at the University of Pennsylvania. From 2018 to 2022, they served as the Neighborhood Connections Program Manager at Change Happens (formerly FUUSA). Currently, Phylicia is employed at Urban Harvest and has held the role of Development and Strategic Projects Director since May 2022. Additionally, they hold the position of Food Access Director, starting in January 2023.

Phylicia Coleman completed their education with a Master of City and Regional Planning, specializing in Urban Design, from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and Construction Science from Prairie View A&M University in 2010.
