Amy Elsbree

Amy Elsbree is a seasoned professional in public affairs and external relations, currently serving as the Senior Director of External Affairs at The Urban Institute since February 2013. In this role, Amy engages with key external audiences to align their perspectives with the Institute's research and policy initiatives. Previously, Amy held significant positions including Director of Public Affairs and Member Relations at the National League of Cities, Director at the Academy for State and Local Government, and various roles in government relations and corporate communications at Amtrak. Amy has education credentials including a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Williams College.
