Bhavani Arabandi

Bhavani Arabandi is a Principal Research Associate at Urban Institute, with previous experience as a Senior Research Associate at the same company and as a Program Analyst at the U.S. Department of Labor. Additionally, Bhavani has served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Rice University, an Assistant Professor at Ithaca College, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at George Mason University. Bhavani holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Virginia, an MA in Sociology from George Mason University, and an MSW in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Notably, Bhavani was selected as a FY20 CXO Fellow and received the Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Award in 2014-15.
