Julia Nilsson

Julia Nilsson has been working in the analytics and data science field since 2013. Julia began their career as a Brand Ambassador and Event Manager at iD Experiential. In 2017, they took on a Student Researcher role at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, where they conducted research into how data science could be used to improve the treatment of cystic fibrosis patients. That same year, they began working at Hiscox as a Pricing Analyst, where they gained experience across various Specialty, Marine & Energy lines. In 2020, they joined Urban Jungle Insurance as a Data Analyst, and was later promoted to Senior Data Analyst, Analytics & BI Manager, and finally Head of Analytics & BI.

Julia Nilsson's education history includes a Master of Science in Business Analytics (with specialisation in Computer Science) from UCL, obtained between 2016 and 2017. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences from the University of Bath, which they completed between 2012 and 2015. Julia also attended Truro School & Sixth Form between 2005 and 2012. Julia also holds a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
