Fabiola Alvarez Yurcisin

Fabiola Alvarez Yurcisin is a seasoned urban planning professional currently serving as Director at the Urban Land Institute since November 2021, where strategic vision and management of the Center's technical assistance program are key responsibilities. With a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Georgetown University, Fabiola has a concentration in community and economic development, and notable academic work includes identifying displacement patterns in affordable housing as part of a capstone project. Previous experience includes working as a Design Strategist and Community Planner at Hola Vecino AC, where Fabiola represented Mexico at the 2016 Venice Biennale of Architecture and co-created a toolkit for impactful placemaking projects.
