Darlene Whitfield, PA, MHFA, is an experienced program and advocacy manager currently serving at the Urban League of Central Carolinas since November 2021, with a focus on workforce development and community engagement. Additionally, Darlene is an empowerment advocate and case manager at Consulting With A Twist, LLC, while also fulfilling roles as a life coach and program manager with Triple P International Pty Ltd. Previous experience includes serving as a parent practitioner with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and holding various positions since 2010, including family advocate and teacher assistant. Darlene has also contributed as co-chairwoman of the CMS Title 1 Advisory Council Steering Committee and served as a guardian ad litem. Darlene holds a Bachelor of Education in Christian Education from Life Christian University.

Its mission is to advocate for and equip African Americans and all underserved communities with the tools to achieve social and economic equality through education, training and placement. Our range of programs can benefit anyone in need of education, skills training, career development, employment services, and youth programs. We serve persons from all economic levels - from area professionals to those living within designated “fragile” and “at risk” neighborhoods.
